MOVE 4 LIFE! is a proven, interactive and easy to implement, eight (8) week physical activity intervention for youth and/or adults. M4L recognizes that people come in all shapes, sizes and physical abilities, but no matter where a person is, they can tailor MOVE 4 LIFE! to meet their individual goals. This program is designed to help increase or maintain an individual’s physical activity level in order to enjoy the benefits of regular physical activity including: lower stress levels, weight management, better sleeping patterns and increased energy.
MOVE 4 LIFE! encourages individuals to set their own physical activity goal based on a level they feel is challenging and reasonable, pick and choose the physical activity they enjoy (walking, biking, swimming etc…), track their progress over the 8 weeks and use a simple points-based system (10 minutes of physical activity = 1 point) to measure their progress towards achieving their goal. Incentive prizes can be built in to encourage participants to achieve these goals and subsequently maintain the levels of physical activity following the completion of the formal program.
