Funding for this program was provided by the Governor's Traffic Safety Committee using federal safety funds. Since pedestrians and bicyclists make up a significant percentage of traffic injuries and fatalities in New York State, it is important that the GTSC is working with NYBC to promote innovative solutions. This CD is part of an ongoing, multi-year partnership that will continue to work with communities and organizations statewide. These remarks help communicate GTSC's commitment to improving bicycling and pedestrian safety in New York.
